MC33198 Overview


In order to protect the PTC thermistors from damage, they are packaged in SMD/SMT packages. The PTC thermistors are packaged in the Cut Tape for safety reasons. ldeally, the PTC thermistors should operate at -40°C. There must be no temperature above 85°C for this thermistor to function. It is possible for PTC thermistors to provide voltages of 33V when they are operating. During normal operation, this thermistor supplies 33V voltage. DC circuits use thermistors rated at 33V voltage. It is expected that PTC thermistors produce 1.5W heat. In PTC thermistors, the current should not exceed 40A. It is recommended that the thermistor supply voltage be kept at 33V for reliable performance.
