There is no problem with using dual supply voltage, but it should not exceed 6V. With dual power supplies, you should attach at least 2V. It is integrated with a SINGLE-ENDED MULTIPLEXER analog IC. The electrical part can be operated at 9V voltage levels. An environment with a temperature greater than 85°C should not be used to operate the digital switches.
