AD1582BRT-REEL7 Description


The AD1582/AD1583/AD1584/AD1585 are precision band gap references with low power consumption, low dropout, and low cost. These designs come in tiny SOT-23, 3-lead surface-mount packages and can be purchased as 3-terminal (series) devices. These references' adaptability makes them perfect for use in battery-powered 3 V or 5 V systems where there may be significant supply voltage changes and a requirement to reduce power dissipation.

The perfect matching and thermal tracking of on-chip components is what gives AD1582/ AD1583/AD1584/AD1585 better precision and temperature stability. Patented temperature drift curvature correction design methods reduce the voltage output temperature characteristic's nonlinearities.

Only 200 mV of required headroom supply is needed for the AD1582/AD1583/AD1584/AD1585 series mode devices to function well and source or sink up to 5 mA of load current. These components have a maximum quiescent current demand of 70 μA and only a 1.0 μA/V supply voltage change. These designs have a remarkable advantage over traditional shunt devices. Maximum power efficiency is attained at all input voltage levels since valuable supply current is no longer lost through an input series resistor.

The AD1582/AD1583/AD1584/AD1585 are given in a small footprint, the SOT23, and come in two grades, A and B. All grades are defined over the 40°C to 125°C industrial temperature range.
