VND5160AJTR-E Description
The monolithic VND5160AJ-E was created utilizing STMicroelectronics VIPower technology. With one side linked to ground, it is designed to drive resistive or inductive loads. The device is shielded from low energy spikes by an active VCC pin voltage clamp (see ISO7637 transient compatibility table). When CS DIS is driven low or left open, this device incorporates an analog current sense that supplies a current proportional to the load current (according to a predefined ratio). The CURRENT SENSE pin has a high impedance state when CS DIS is driven high. Device protection under overload conditions is provided by output current restriction. The technology restricts the power dissipated during prolonged overloads to a safe level until thermal shut-down intervention.
