REG102NA-2.8/250G4 Description
A family of low-noise, low-dropout linear regulators with low ground pin current is the REG102NA-2.8/250G4. In comparison to earlier designs, the new DMOS topology offers substantial improvements, such as lower dropout voltage (at 150mV typ at full load), and better transient performance. Furthermore, unlike conventional low-dropout regulators that are difficult to correct for and need expensive low ESR capacitors higher than 1μF, no output capacitor is necessary for stability.
When disabled, the typical ground pin current lowers to 10nA from 600A (at IOUT = 250mA). Quiescent current, in contrast to regulators with PNP pass devices, remains largely constant over variations in load and dropout situations.
