MCF5208CVM166 Description
MCF5207 and MCF5208 devices are highly integrated 32-bit microprocessors based on the version 2 Coldfire microarchitecture. Both devices contain a 16K-byte internal SRAM, an 8K-byte configurable cache, two sets of SDR/DDR SDRAM controllers, a 16-channel DMA controller, up to three UART, a queue SPI, a low-power management module, and other peripherals that enable MCF5207 and MCF5208 to be used in industrial control and connectivity applications. The MCF5208 device also features a 10 Mbps 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet controller. This document provides detailed information on power considerations, DC/AC electrical characteristics, and AC timing specifications for MCF5207 and MCF5208 microprocessors. It is written from the perspective of MCF5208 devices. For a summary of the differences between the two devices, see the next section.
