The NXP USA Inc. 8-bit microcontroller family's highly integrated MC9S08QG8CPBE uses the HCS08 core's great performance and low power. The MC9S08QG MCU combines a single-wire debug and emulation interface with functionality generally found only in larger, more expensive components, such as a background debug system and built-in in-circuit emulation (ICE) capability for real-time bus capture. A programmable 16-bit timer/pulse width modulation (PWM) module (TPM), one of the most adaptable and cost-effective modules in its class, is another characteristic of the device. In addition to longer battery life (maximum performance even at operating voltages as low as 1.8V), industry-leading Leading FLASH technology, and creative development support, the compact, highly integrated MC9S08QG8CPBE offers a versatile combination of Freescale's rich peripherals and the exceptional performance of the HCS08 core. For power and size-sensitive applications such as wireless communications, handheld devices, tiny appliances, simplified media access controller (SMAC)-based applications, and toys, the MC9S08QG8CPBE is a great choice. This item makes use of SuperFlash? technology that SST has licensed.
