L5981 Description


The L5981 is a step-down switching regulator with a 1.5 A (min.) current restricted integrated Power MOSFET that can deliver more than 1 A DC current to the load depending on the application. The input voltage can be set between 2.9 V and 18 V, while the output voltage can be set between 0.6 V and VIN. With a minimum input voltage of 2.9 V, the L5981 can also be used on a 3.3 V bus.

The L5981, which requires only a few external components, features an internal 250 kHz switching frequency oscillator that can be externally modified up to 1 MHz.
