BQ24232RGTRG4 Description

Targeted towards portable applications with minimal space, the bq2423x series of devices are highly integrated Li-ion linear chargers and system power-path control devices. The devices support charge currents between 25 mA and 500 mA and can be powered by either a USB connection or an AC adaptor. Low cost, unregulated adapters can be used with the high input voltage range with input overvoltage protection. The bq2423x can satisfy the USB-IF inrush current specification thanks to the precision of the USB input current limit and the start-up sequence. Additionally, the input dynamic power management (VIN-DPM) guards against the charger being crashed by USB sources that are poorly made or improperly set up. Dynamic power-path management (DPPM) allows the bq2423x to run the system while additionally and independently charging the battery.
