ADP3309ART-2.9-RL7 Description

The ADP3309 is a precision low dropout anyCAP voltage regulator from the ADP330x series. Although functionally and aesthetically identical to National's LP2981, it performs better. The ADP3309 differs from traditional LDOs thanks to its new architecture and improved methodology. For stability, its innovative design only needs a 0.47 F output capacitor. Regardless of the equivalent series resistance (ESR) value of the capacitor, including ceramic varieties for applications with limited space, this device is stable with any type of capacitor.

With regard to temperature, line, and load regulations, the ADP3309 achieves accuracy of 1.2% at room temperature and 2.2% overall. The ADP3309's normal dropout voltage at 100 mA is only 120 mV. This gadget also has a shutdown feature and a current limit.
