The ADP162AUJZ-3.3 is a low dropout, ultralow quiescent current, linear regulator that can work between 2.2 and 5.5 volts and deliver an output current of up to 150 mA. Efficiency is increased, and operation is possible over a wide input voltage range, thanks to the low 195 mV dropout voltage at 150 mA load.
In order to fulfill the demands of high-performance, space-constrained applications, the ADP162AUJZ-3.3 was specifically created for steady operation with tiny 1 μF ± 30% ceramic input and output capacitors. The output discharge function is absent from the ADP162, which is otherwise identical to the ADP160.
Under challenging circumstances, the damage is prevented via short-circuit and thermal overload protection circuits. The ADP162AUJZ-3.3 is offered in the smallest 5-lead TSOT and 4-ball, 0.5 mm pitch WLCSP packages for a wide range of portable power applications.
